Maintenance Technician – R2 Sealant Systems
Location: Massillon, OH
Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

R2 Sealant Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This is a critical role focused on ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our production equipment and facility systems.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, including PLC troubleshooting, automation systems, and mechanical/electrical repair. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues

• Utilize PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) to identify faults and make necessary adjustments

• Maintain and repair automated systems including conveyors, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensors

• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting

• Experience with automated manufacturing systems and machine diagnostics

• Proficient in the use of hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (drills, grinders, saws)

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts as needed

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

• Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA regulations

• Basic welding and fabrication skills

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or other facility systems is a plus

• Must have your own tools or purchase necessary tools for the job

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment

• Standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting as required

• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
