Welcoming Cory Hosner: R2 Sealant Systems’ New Reliability Maintenance Manager

Massillon, OH — R2 Sealant Systems is proud to welcome Cory Hosner to our growing team as the new Reliability Maintenance Manager. With more than 15 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance and operations, Cory brings a deep understanding of how to keep production environments running efficiently, safely, and with precision. His leadership philosophy, hands-on approach, and commitment to continuous improvement align perfectly with R2’s mission to deliver high-quality products and exceptional service to every customer.

Experience That Drives Reliability

Cory’s journey began in the field as a maintenance technician, where he learned the ins and outs of mechanical systems, equipment reliability, and production processes. Over the years, his curiosity and problem-solving mindset led him into roles that combined both technical expertise and management responsibility, giving him a unique perspective on how to bridge the gap between people, processes, and performance.

“I’ve spent the past 15 years working as a field service maintenance technician and maintenance coordinator,” Cory shared. “Over that time, I’ve built a strong foundation in troubleshooting, process improvement, and team coordination, really developing both my technical and management skills.”

His background gives him an invaluable edge in understanding the needs of both the team on the floor and the strategic goals of leadership, something that’s already proving to be a tremendous asset at R2.

For Cory, joining R2 Sealant Systems wasn’t just a career move, it was an opportunity to apply his skills in a company that values growth, innovation, and collaboration.

“My role here is the Reliability Maintenance Manager,” he explained. “What really drew me in was the opportunity to bring my technical and management experience into a new environment, while continuing to learn and grow with the company. I liked the idea of working for a team that values quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.”

“My first impression of R2 Sealants is that it’s a close-knit team that values quality work, supports each other, and creates a welcoming environment to grow together,” he said. “You can tell people here take pride in what they do, and that’s something I really appreciate.”

Cory credits this sense of camaraderie as a key ingredient in R2’s success. The open communication, collaborative spirit, and mutual respect among departments create an atmosphere where everyone can thrive, something he’s excited to help foster as the company continues to expand.

In his new role, Cory focuses on maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and quality, which he believes start with leadership. His approach emphasizes education, accountability, and trust.

“I try to lead by example when it comes to safety, quality, and accountability,” he shared. “I make sure everyone knows the right procedures and why they matter, encourage people to speak up if something doesn’t look right, and keep communication open so everyone takes ownership of their work.”

To Cory, safety isn’t just a policy, it’s a culture. By encouraging team members to communicate openly and take responsibility for their work, he helps create an environment where people feel empowered to do things the right way, every time. “It’s about creating a team environment where we all look out for each other and take pride in doing things the right way,” he added.

Looking Ahead: Growth Through Innovation

Cory sees tremendous potential for R2 Sealant Systems as the company continues to expand its capabilities and customer reach. He’s especially motivated by R2’s drive to innovate and adapt, both in its manufacturing processes and in its relationships with customers.

“I see R2 Sealants growing through innovation and strong client relationships,” he said. “My goal is to keep operations running smoothly, support the team, and help deliver high-quality results.”

As R2 continues to scale, Cory aims to play a key role in ensuring that the company’s foundation remains strong, by optimizing maintenance strategies, improving equipment reliability, and supporting the team that keeps R2 moving forward.

Beyond the Plant: Family, Travel, and Guiding Values

Outside of work, Cory values time with his family and friends just as much as he values efficiency and teamwork on the job. He and his wife enjoy exploring new destinations, often setting sail on cruises that allow them to unwind and recharge.

“When I’m not at work, I enjoy going on cruises and traveling with my wife, as well as spending quality time with my family and friends,” he said.

At the core of everything he does, both personally and professionally, is a guiding principle that defines his character:

“My guiding principle is to treat people the way I want to be treated, with respect, honesty, and fairness.”

It’s this philosophy that shapes his leadership approach, helping him build trust and foster collaboration wherever he goes.
