(MASSILLON, OHIO) — R2 Sealant Systems is proud to recognize one of our own, James Davis, on his well-deserved promotion to 3rd Shift Supervisor! Since joining R2 a year ago, James has quickly become a key player in our formulations department, leading with skill, passion, and a drive to push himself and those around him to be their best.

From Formulation Lead to Supervisor

James first began at R2 as a Head Color Technician and Formulation Lead, where he brought his 6+ years of manufacturing experience and played a vital role in mixing and perfecting the quality products our customers depend on. James’ role begins at the very foundation of R2’s production process — and he knows how crucial that is. As he explained, “It starts here. If we succeed, the next department succeeds, and together we make everything run smoothly.”

This mindset has shaped James’ approach as he steps into leadership. He’s ready to use that knowledge not just to run a shift, but to inspire his team to take pride in every detail that builds R2’s reputation for quality and reliability.

Excited for What’s Ahead

When asked how he felt about this promotion, James shared his mix of relief, excitement, and motivation. But above all, he’s energized by the opportunity to show what he can do and to help others rise with him. “I love challenging myself to accomplish things I’ve always dreamed of — to be more than average; to be great. That’s what I want for everyone here, to be great themselves and to make R2 the best it can be.”

James’ vision for leadership is about growth for himself, his team, and the company as a whole. “There’s no ceiling I don’t want to break through. I want to be the example and motivation for everyone looking to do better. I look at R2 as another home, and I want to see that home grow every day.”
