MASSILLON, OH — At R2 Sealant Systems, we know that great people are the foundation of a great company—and today, we’re proud to recognize one of our own. Congratulations to Nate Kager on his well-deserved promotion from Machine Operator to Quality Control Technician!

Nate has been a dedicated and hard worker since day one. Beginning his experience at R2 Sealant Systems as a Packer, Nate’s sharp attention to detail, strong work ethic, and can-do attitude quickly landed him an initial promotion to Machine Operator. During this time, Nate consistently went above and beyond in his role on the production lines. Whether it was staying late to finish a job, supporting teammates without hesitation, or catching issues before they happened, Nate made it clear: he wasn’t just showing up—he was showing out.

His performance didn’t go unnoticed.

“When we talk about promoting from within, Nate is exactly the kind of person we’re talking about,” said Amy Quinones, the Technical and Systems Director at R2 Sealant Systems. “His understanding of the machines, processes, and the people behind the work gives him a unique edge in Quality Control. He doesn’t just know what to look for—he knows why it matters.”

Now, in his new role as Quality Control Technician, Nate brings firsthand experience from the line directly into the quality process. His time operating machinery gives him a clear understanding of production flow, batch nuances, and equipment behavior—making him a valuable asset to both the QC team and the overall operation.

“Working on the machines taught me how to troubleshoot quickly and pay close attention to detail, whether it was fixing an issue on the fly or making sure sensors and print were spot-on,” said Nate, when reflecting on his experience as a Machine Operator. “Those skills translate perfectly to quality control, where precision and problem-solving are essential.”

This promotion isn’t just a win for Nate, it’s a win for R2 Sealant Systems as a whole. Promoting from within is part of our core belief in operational excellence, teachability, and commitment. Of R2 Sealants Systems’ four current Quality Control team members, three started as Machine Operators. This speaks volumes about the strength of our internal development and how valuable it is to have QC employees who truly understand the ins and outs of our production process.
