Massillon, OH — R2 Sealant Systems is excited to welcome Steven Gardner as our new Production Scheduler. With a strong background in logistics, transportation, and customer service, Steven brings valuable experience and a process-driven mindset to our growing operations team.

Steven’s career path has been shaped by roles that demand precision, communication, and accountability. “I have a background in logistics, transportation, and customer service. With experience at FedEx Express, Frito-Lay, and Sarta, I’ve worked in roles that require strong attention to safety, time management, and communication,” he shares. “My experience with coordinating shipments and working directly with customers helped build a strong foundation that led me to pursue an opportunity with R2 Sealant Systems.”

Stepping Into the Role at R2

As Production Scheduler, Steven plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

“I support operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on schedule,” he explains. “What attracted me to R2 was the opportunity to apply my background in logistics and process driven work in a manufacturing environment where I can continue to grow and contribute.”

From day one, Steven recognized the culture that makes R2 stand out. “My first impression was that the team is hardworking and takes pride in what they do. The facility is well-structured and there’s a clear focus on safety and getting the job done right. Everyone was very welcoming and willing to help, which is making the transition easier.”

Building Strong Operations Through Leadership and Accountability

Steven believes that strong teams are built on clear communication and consistency.

“I believe a strong operations team is built on communication, accountability, and consistency. From my experience, when everyone understands their role, follows processes and works together, it leads to better efficiency and safer outcomes,” he says.

His approach to fostering a positive and productive environment starts with personal responsibility. “I believe in leading by example and staying consistent. In my past roles, specifically in transportation & logistics, safety and compliance were always top priorities. Setting clear expectations, communicating effectively and holding yourself accountable helps build that same mindset across the team.”

Looking Ahead: Growth and Opportunity

Steven is energized by the momentum at R2 and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

“I’m most excited about the opportunity to be a part of a growing company where my experience can be impactful and I can build new working relationships that will ultimately create success at R2,” he shares.

With his background, he sees clear opportunities to enhance operations. “Based on my experience, there’s always an opportunity to improve efficiency, streamline communication, and refine processes. Even small adjustments can make a big difference in productivity and consistency.”

Looking toward the future, Steven sees continued expansion ahead. “I see R2 continuing to grow and expand its operations. I hope to contribute by bringing a strong work ethic, focusing on efficiency, and helping support a team environment that drives consistent results.”

Beyond the Role: Problem Solver and Team Player

Steven brings a mindset of continuous improvement both inside and outside of work.

“Something people might be surprised to learn about me is how much I enjoy problem solving & staying organized. I’m always looking for ways to improve workflows and finding a better way to get things done,” he says.

Outside of work, he values balance and staying energized. “I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and taking time to recharge. I believe having a good balance helps you stay focused and perform better on the job.”

His professional philosophy is simple but powerful: “Be consistent, be accountable and always put safety first.”
