Massillon, OH — R2 Sealant Systems is excited to announce the promotion of Jens Morel to 2nd Shift Lead Formulator! After spending the past year as a Formulator, Jens is taking the next step in his R2 career and stepping into a leadership role on our 2nd shift team.

Jens’s promotion is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and knowledge he has brought to the formulations team during his time at R2. Now, he is ready to put that experience to work in a new way.

A New Chapter at R2

When Jens learned that he had been selected for the promotion, he was excited about the opportunity ahead.

“I was very excited and thankful to take that next step in my career,” Jens shares.

After a year working in formulations, Jens has developed a strong understanding of the processes, expectations, and attention to detail that go into producing quality products. That experience will serve him well as he takes on his new responsibilities.

Putting Experience to Work

As 2nd Shift Lead Formulator, Jens is looking forward to using the skills he has developed to help his team succeed.

“What excites me most is being able to use my skills, lead a great group, and make it as functional and efficient of a team as possible,” he says.

For Jens, leadership is an opportunity to contribute beyond his individual role. He wants to help create a team that works well together, stays productive, and consistently meets the high standards expected at R2.

Quality Comes First

Jens’s experience in formulations has also shaped the way he approaches his work. Being directly involved in the production process has given him an appreciation for how important consistency, quality, and productivity are to the overall operation.

“My time in formulations has helped tremendously,” Jens explains. “I put the quality of the product in the forefront of everything I do and try to be as productive as possible.”

That mindset will carry into his new role as he works alongside the 2nd shift formulations team.

Always Something Happening

One of the things Jens enjoys most about working at R2 is the fast-paced environment.

“I love that we keep busy and that there is always something going on,” he says.

With R2 continuing to grow, that busy environment creates plenty of opportunities to learn, take on new challenges, and continue developing as a team.

Hard Work Gets Noticed

Looking back on his time at R2, Jens says one of the most rewarding parts has been seeing that dedication and effort are recognized.

“Knowing that hard work never goes unnoticed here,” he says, is what has made his journey at R2 especially rewarding.

His own promotion is a great example of that. In just one year, Jens has grown from Formulator to 2nd Shift Lead Formulator and is ready to take on the next challenge.

Advice for Those Looking to Grow

For other R2 employees who are hoping to grow their careers, Jens has a simple message.

“Always keep your eyes on the future and always give your best no matter what you’re doing.”
