Massillon, OH — R2 Sealant Systems is excited to welcome Destiny Wissmar as our newest Quality Control Technician. With a background in laboratory science and a passion for hands-on work, Destiny brings a detail-oriented approach and positive energy to the team.

A Strong Foundation in Laboratory Science

A graduate of Hocking College with a science laboratory degree, Destiny gained early experiences working in testing environments. “There, we received a lot of hands-on experience,” she shares, highlighting the type of practical lab work that prepared her for a career in quality control.

Stepping Into Her Role at R2

Now part of the Quality Control team, Destiny is eager to apply her skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. “I am very excited to put my skills that I have learned into this role,” she says. Her first impression of R2 was immediate and impactful. “My first impression was that the R2 facility was extremely organized. The staff has been so kind and thorough.”

Building Strong Operations Through Teamwork

Destiny believes that a successful operation starts with a strong team dynamic. “Great communication, kindness, and a team that is willing to help each other,” she explains. She carries that same mindset into her work each day, emphasizing that consistency, showing leadership, and keeping open communication are key to maintaining safety and quality on the floor.

Excited for What’s Ahead

For Destiny, the most exciting part of joining R2 is the opportunity to build relationships and grow with the company. She has already noticed the company’s momentum and is thrilled to be part of it. “Already on my first day, I can tell the company is growing. I’m excited to contribute to the quality of the products and help the company to keep on growing.”

Outside of Work

When she’s not at work, Destiny enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. She also enjoys playing the saxophone and hanging out with her pet tortoise.

Mindset and Early Impressions

Destiny approaches her work with a proactive, stay-ready mindset. “Never get too comfortable, so you’re always ready for anything,” she says. That outlook has already shaped her perspective at R2. “I can already tell that a lot of hard work and care goes into what we do here at R2,” she adds, recognizing the dedication behind the scenes from the very beginning.
