(Massillon, OH) – Meet Nick Hostetler, R2 Sealant Systems’ newest R&D Technician! With a background in chemistry and experience in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries, Nick brings a strong technical background and a passion for developing new products to the R2 team.

Before joining R2, Nick worked in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries, where he was involved in creating and formulating medications and dietary supplements. His interest in science and product development made R2 a natural next step in his career.

“I’ve always enjoyed creating new products, running tests, and working with raw materials,” Nick said. “When I came across R2, I saw a great opportunity to continue growing my skills and my career.”

First Impressions Matter

Since joining the team, Nick has been impressed by the people and the facility.

“Everyone has been very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable,” he said. “The facility is in great shape, and everything runs really efficiently.”

Growing With R2

In his role as an R&D Technician, Nick will be focused on product development, testing, and working with raw materials. He’s excited about the opportunity to put his experience to work while continuing to learn and grow with R2.

Looking ahead, Nick sees plenty of opportunity for R2’s continued growth, including bringing on more private-label customers and expanding our capabilities. He hopes to play a part in that growth by helping develop and manufacture new products that meet a high standard for both current and future customers.

Building a Strong Team

When it comes to what makes a great team, Nick believes it comes down to having good people, strong leadership, and everyone working toward the same goal. He also believes that safety, quality, and accountability all start with setting clear expectations and making sure everyone takes ownership of their work.

Most importantly, Nick is excited about the opportunity to grow with R2 and show what he can bring to the team.

Getting to Know Nick

Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He’s also a fan of sporting events, camping, fishing, and building motorcycles, giving him plenty to keep busy with when he’s not at R2.

One principal Nick tries to carry with him both personally and professionally is simple:

“Do the right thing, not the easy thing.”

For Nick, that means making decisions based on integrity and doing what’s right, even when it takes a little more effort.
