Massillon, OH — We’re excited to welcome Brian Kucharik to R2 Sealant Systems as our 2nd Shift Production Supervisor!

A Strong Background in Leadership & Manufacturing

Brian brings 20 years of experience in leadership and management roles across retail, Environmental Services (EVS), and manufacturing. Most recently, he spent the past four years in production scheduling before deciding to return to a more hands-on, people-focused leadership role on the manufacturing floor.

“I was ready to return to a people leadership role in manufacturing,” Brian shared. “R2 stood out because my experience in manufacturing and leadership aligns well with a growing company that values practical experience and a strong background.”

Leading the New 2nd Shift

In his new role, Brian is helping establish structure, routines, and expectations as the second shift continues to develop.

“I was drawn to the opportunity to help build its routines and set strong standards as it grows.”

With a focus on consistency, organization, and team development, Brian aims to create a strong foundation for the second shift as it expands. His leadership will play a key role in aligning daily operations, supporting team members, and ensuring the shift is set up for long-term success as R2 continues to grow.

First Impressions of R2

Brian noted that one of his first impressions was the cleanliness and scale of the facility, paired with a welcoming, tight-knit culture.

He also shared that what stood out most was how quickly he felt the sense of connection across teams, from leadership to the production floor. The combination of a well-maintained facility and a collaborative, people-first environment reinforced his excitement about joining R2 and becoming part of the team.

Building Strong, Effective Teams

Brian believes that communication and consistency are the foundation of a successful operations team.

“A strong and efficient operations team needs open communication first, along with consistency in action and thought.”

He also emphasizes being present and leading by example as key to fostering safety, quality, and accountability on the floor.

Focus on Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

Looking ahead, Brian is excited about R2’s continued growth and the opportunities it creates for both the company and its employees.

“I see significant growth potential for the company, and I believe there will be strong opportunities for personal development for those who pursue them.”

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining strong safety practices, consistent quality standards, and a continuous improvement mindset on the production floor. Brian is focused on supporting ongoing initiatives and helping build a culture where employees are empowered to grow, contribute ideas, and drive operational excellence as R2 continues to expand.

Life Outside of Work

Outside of R2, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, especially his wife of nearly 12 years and his four sons, ranging in age from 16 to 24. In his free time, you can find him relaxing at the lake, playing games, or walking the beach searching for sea glass.

Brian encourages new leaders in manufacturing to stay observant and open-minded.

“Learn from every experience, both yours and others. Use what worked and what didn’t from past leaders to shape how you lead your own team.”
