Massillon, OH – We are excited to announce that Tommy Monnot has been promoted from Operations Manager to Assistant Plant Manager!

Over the past year, Tommy has been part of the team overseeing operations, and now he’s ready to take on a new challenge. For him, this promotion means an opportunity to step back, look at the bigger picture, and gain a deeper understanding of what makes R2 run.

“I was very excited to get started and expand upon my new role,” Tommy shared. “I was excited to dig deeper into what this company had to offer as far as the production side of things.”

One Team, One Operation

What stands out most to Tommy about his new position is the chance to work beyond the boundaries of a single department.

“What excites me the most is working with R2 as a whole rather than one department,” he explained.

In a growing manufacturing operation, every department plays a part in keeping production moving. Understanding how those pieces fit together is an important part of improving the overall process, and it’s a challenge Tommy is eager to take on.

His focus is on learning how the operation works from a broader perspective and finding opportunities to make things run better across the plant.

Looking Ahead: Smarter, Smoother Production

Tommy already has a clear idea of where he wants to start. His short-term goal is to better understand production scheduling, while his long-term focus is on making the production process smoother and more efficient.

It’s a practical approach: learn the process, understand how everything connects, and use that knowledge to identify where improvements can be made. As R2 continues to grow, finding ways to improve efficiency will be an important part of keeping our operations moving forward.

People Make the Difference

When asked what he enjoys most about being part of R2, Tommy pointed to the people and the environment.

“The environment and the people I get to work with every day,” he shared. “It makes coming to work a lot easier when the people you work with every day are fun to be around and have the same goals in mind.”

That reflects the kind of positive, team-oriented environment we’re proud to foster at R2. Having a team that enjoys working together and shares a common goal makes a difference, especially in an environment where collaboration across departments is essential.
