Massillon, OH — A new opportunity for growth is taking place on 2nd Shift! R2 Sealant Systems is excited to welcome Mandy to her new role as a Quality Control Technician.

Mandy’s time at R2 began on the production floor as a Line Operator, where she became familiar with the fast-paced environment and the many moving parts that keep manufacturing running each day. Now, she is bringing that experience into a new position in Quality Control, and she’s ready to develop new skills, take on new challenges, and see where this opportunity takes her.

Growing With R2

Mandy’s move into Quality Control is driven by one thing in particular: a desire to keep learning.

She was drawn to the role because it gives her the chance to understand a different side of the business while taking on additional responsibility.

“I love learning new stuff, growing with the company, and taking on more responsibility,” Mandy shared. “I am looking forward to understanding more about quality and how everything on this side of the business works.”

Her experience on the production floor also gives her a firsthand understanding of the people and processes behind the products R2 produces. As she learns the responsibilities of her new position, she’ll have the opportunity to bring that production experience with her while developing an entirely new set of skills.

Looking Ahead

Stepping into Quality Control gives Mandy the opportunity to understand more about an important part of R2’s operations while continuing to build her career within the company. She believes maintaining strong standards starts with everyone taking responsibility for their work, following procedures, paying attention to the details, and communicating with one another.

For Mandy, that same mindset extends to the future of R2. She sees continued growth bringing new opportunities for employees to develop their skills and advance within the company, and she hopes to be part of that progress by becoming a dependable member of the Quality Control team.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to grow with R2 and excited to continue expanding my knowledge,” Mandy said.

As she takes on her new role, Mandy’s advice to others entering a new position is to stay patient, listen to those around you, and never be afraid to ask questions. Being willing to learn, she believes, is one of the best ways to grow.

Life Outside of R2

When Mandy isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, trying new things, and simply relaxing with some music.
